AN ART EXHIBITION AND INSTALLATION
CURATED BY LAURENT MACALUSO, MOZART
28 JUNE – 31 AUGUST 2022
PARK LOBBY, 9th FlOOR
Discover the wondrous world of the rising French young artist Chloé Kelly Miller, bringing her thought provoking, vivid and colorful “visual epiphanies” to life through her ‘Love Will Keep Us Together’ art exhibition and installation curated by Laurent Macaluso, CEO and Founder of MozART at SO/ Bangkok. This art exhibition and installation will also mark her first solo show and debut in Asia.
Born in Rouen with a hearing impairment, Chloé did not let her disability get in the way of embracing life. She empowered her disability to access the resources you may not be aware of with the possession of the five senses. Also a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Chloé’s core creative themes revolve around the questioning of self through self-discovery.
Chloé displays an eclectic body of work, constituted of photographs, acrylics, graffiti, inks and drawings. From iconic figures of pop culture to intimate and fragmented images, the artist investigates the notions of identity and representation. She does so by creating a dynamic exchange between the subject and the viewer in her artworks. Colors and black backgrounds dominate her latest body of work, in order to evoke – mirroring our unconscious.
The deconstruction of the eyes is a recurrent motif in her artworks, which she sees as a mean of personal expression. As a result, the portrait genre holds a central place in her collection. It enables her to depict her experience of the self and explore the process of othering. She considers her artistic praxis as inherently spontaneous and eruptive. Ultimately, her profound fascination for understanding the human mind, would become the driving force of her many striking pieces today.
The two-month exhibition will showcase 19 artworks from ‘Love Will Keep Us Together‘ series including the immersive “Evolution Art Tunnel” installation at Park Lobby on the 9th floor of SO/ Bangkok. For every journey through the tunnel, you are encourged to tear off a small piece of the mural away with you. Over the course of the exhibition, the tunnel transforms and reveals the layer behind.
Laurent Macaluso, CEO and Founder of MozART, will also display up to 50 NFT prints of Chloé’s original artworks at the ground floor gallery with digital access for art and NFT enthusiasts to have the chance to purchase NFTs on the spot.
The Peugeot “Art in Motion” Project, a collaboration between the artist and Peugeot Thailand, was unveiled on the ground floor lobby as part of the ‘Love Will Keep Us Together‘ art exhibition and installation at SO/ Bangkok.
The artistic collaboration with Chloé reflects the hotel’s distinctive feature of blending art and hospitality, restyling the interior space with thought-provoking art. The hotel hosted an exclusive cocktail reception on 28 June 2022 to officially unveil the exhibition.
